Greece and the Czech Republic have mutual representation on the Embassy level, and Greece maintains a Consular Bureau in its Prague Embassy.

Political Relations

Greek-Czech political relations are at very good level and have grown stronger since the Czech Republic’s accession to NATO (1999) and the European Union (2004).

Cultural Relations and Greek Community

The two countries have concluded Educational Agreements that provide for scholarships and exchanges in the sectors of education, science and the arts. These Agreements also provide for cooperation in the media, youth and athletics sectors.

Some 3,500 persons of Greek origin reside in the Czech Republic, and many belong to Communities recognized by the Czech state and are active in the cultural sector via organizations of the Greek Czech community.
