On the instructions of Foreign Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos, Foreign Ministry Secretary General Yannis-Alexis Zepos summoned the UK Ambassador to Athens, David Landsman, to a meeting this evening concerning statements made by UK Prime Minister David Cameron to the British Parliament regarding Greece. The meeting was held so that Secretary General Zepos could underscore that these statement might create false impressions, hindering the efforts to strengthen the climate of trust that is vital to confronting the economic crisis in Europe.
