Multilateral diplomacy is the most modern and fastest-developing trend in foreign policy and is implemented within the framework of international organizations. Greece’s presence in international fora has a major historical dimension (founding member of the UN, longstanding member of the EU and NATO) and is of particular importance given that respect for international law and human rights – the foundations of the international community – are a fundamental component of Greek foreign policy.
