The Greek National Tourism Organisation (GNTO) and Aegean Airlines organised at the Embassy of Greece, on 12 March 2015, a joint event to introduce Greece to the Estonian travel sector. About one hundred guests, mostly representatives of the biggest tour operators and travel agencies operating in Estonia as well as journalists attended the event.

In his introductory remarks, Ambassador of Greece to Estonia, H.E. Constantine Catsambis pointed out the growing interest witnessed over the last few years about Greece, as shown by the 30% rise of Estonian Tourists visiting Greece in 2014.

Mrs Stavroula Skaltsi, Director of the Office of the Greek National Tourism Organisation based in Stockholm introduced the different facets of Greece as a destination. Mrs Leela Lilleorg from Aegean Airlines office in Estonia presented the Aegean Airlines new route to be launched  from Athens to Tallinn in the upcoming summer ( June to October2015 ) and introduced the Greek airline.

All the guests had the opportunity to get a “first taste” of Greece by enjoying Greek specialties, prepared by Estonian School of Hotel and Tourism Management. The winners of the lottery organised by the GNTO and Aegean Airlines were offered a stay for two persons in Greece and air tickets to Athens.
