Joint event with the Embassy of Slovakia for the tenth anniversary of the fifth EU Enlargement, 29/4/2014
The Embassy of Greece, in the framework of the Hellenic EU Presidency, organized, along with the Embassy of Slovakia, an event celebrating the 10 years from the signing of the fifth Enlargement of the EU. The event, which was the central ceremony for this anniversary in Romania, took place at the residence of the Slovak Ambassador Mr. Jan Gabor, on April 29.
The fifth Enlargement, the biggest in the EU's history, comprised ten countries: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, Cyprus, Malta and was signed under the Acropolis during the previous Greek Presidency in 2003.
The speeches of the two Ambassadors and the Romanian officials, followed a choral performance by the choir of the Slovak State Radio, which interpreted songs from countries of the fifth Enlargement.
