Constantine Cavafy (1863 – 1933): UNESCO participates in the celebration of the 150th anniversary of Cavafy’s birth

In 2013 we celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of Constantine Cavafy, one of the greatest modern poets. Through his poems, he depicted in a unique way the Hellenistic World, paving at the same time new paths for European Poetry, using language in an innovative way.
