Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and OSCE CiO George Papandreou expressed his condolences and deep dismay at the tragic loss of life and many injuries resulting from the derailment of the Nevsy Express, which was en route from St. Petersburg to Moscow.

“I express my condolences to the families of the victims and my most sincere wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured. I am shocked at this tragic incident and express my condolences to the Russian people and the Russian government. The Chairmanship of the OSCE expresses its deep concern and its support for the investigations into the cause of the accident.”
