Mr. Droutsas: This was my first meeting with the President of the Republic, Mr. Karolos Papoulias. I had the opportunity to brief the President on the government’s foreign policy goals and the first initiatives that the government has already taken on these issues.

Everyone is aware of Mr. Papoulias’ dedication to and great interest in foreign policy issues, and his extensive knowledge of and experience in diplomatic and foreign policy issues is also well known. I think Mr. Papoulias’ experience is very important.

I want to ask for his advice always, and for that reason I am sure that our meetings will be very frequent.
