I. Diplomatic Relations
There is Embassy-level representation between the two countries.
II. Framework of Treaties
There is currently a satisfactory existing framework of Treaties between the two countries. The main agreements between Greece and the Czech Republic are the following: a) a Cultural Agreement, b) a Protocol of Military cooperation between the Defense Ministries of the two countries that was signed in May 2001, and c) a Tourist Agreement (signed during the Czech Presidents visit to Athens in November 2006). There are also other agreements that have been ratified, such as a Road Transport agreement, an agreement on the Promotion and Mutual Protection of Investments, and an agreement on Economic, Industrial and Technological Cooperation.
III. Political relations
Political relations are at a very good level, and have been strengthened following the Czech Republics accession to NATO and the European Union on 1.5.2004.
In August 2005, Prime Minister Mr. Kostas Karamanlis carried out a working visit to the Czech Republic. In November 2006, the then Czech President and Prime Minister, Mr. Vaclav Klaus, carried out a visit to Greece. The most recent visit to our country is that of Czech Prime Minister Mr. Mirek Topolanek, who visited Athens on 14 April 2008. During his visit, he had meetings with President of the Hellenic Republic Mr. K. Papoulias and Prime Minister Mr. K. Karamanlis, as well as with Parliament Speaker Mr. D. Sioufas.
Earlier visits include: In 2003, the then Prime Minister of Greece Mr K. Simitis visited the Czech Republic within the framework of his European tour in view of the Thessaloniki Summit. In 2004, the Czech President of the Republic, Mr. Vaclav Klaus, and the then Prime Minister, Mr. Stanislav Gross (August - September 2004), visited our country in order to attend the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Greek language is taught at the University of Masaryk (Brno) and in Prague.
