Neither Greece nor Iceland maintains an Embassy in the other’s capital. Greece is represented in Iceland via parallel accreditation of its Ambassador to Norway, and there is an Honorary Greek Consulate General in Reykjavik. Iceland is represented in Greece through parallel accreditation of its Embassy in London.

Political Relations

Greek-Icelandic bilateral relations are very good. Also noteworthy are the activities of the Greek-Icelandic Cultural Association, which was founded in 1985 in Reykjavik, with the aim of strengthening the ties between the two countries.

Despite the lack of a bilateral agreement on education, strong interest in Greek culture is seen in Iceland. A small number of important Icelandic studies of Greek letters have been recorded.
