Uruguay
The two countries established diplomatic relations in 1928. Greece has an Embassy in Montevideo and Uruguay has an Embassy in Athens.
Political Relations
Bilateral relations between the two countries are at a very good level. There is also a very good cooperation within international organisations. Greece has Uruguay’s firm support on our national issues.
Cultural Relations and Greek Community
The Greek community in Uruguay was established in 1916 and totals around 2000 persons.
