Vietnam
Greece and Vietnam established diplomatic relations in 1975. Our Embassy in Hanoi went into operation in 2007, while Vietnam’s Embassy in Greece opened in December 2010.
Political Relations
Greek-Vietnamese bilateral relations have developed significantly over the past decade, with the broadening of the contractual framework for cooperation, the exchange of high-level visits, and satisfactory cooperation within international organizations. Recently (June 2013), a Joint Inter-parliamentary Friendship Group was established.
There are very few Greeks residing in Vietnam.
