Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Katrougalos holds meetings at the European Parliament (Brussels, 15 May 2018)

Tuesday, 15 May 2018

The Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs, Giorgos Katrougalos, today met, at the European Parliament, with the chair of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats parliamentary group, Udo Bullman, and the chair of the European Left (GUE/NGL), Gabi Zimmer. In a warm climate, they discussed issues related to the European Budget and the Future of Europe.

Following the meetings, Mr. Katrougalos stated that the sole path to a more democratic and social Europe runs through broader cooperation between all progressive forces of the left, socialists, democrats and the greens. The very successful experiments in this direction in Portugal and in the European Parliament must be extended to all European countries and the organs of the European Union.
Earlier, Mr. Katrougalos observed a GUE/NGL event with NGOs active in the sectors of rescue and support of refugees
