Participation of the Foreign Ministry’s Secretary General for International Economic Relations and Openness, and President of Enterprise Greece, Ioannis Smyrlis, in the videoconference of the Greek-Italian Chamber of Commerce of Athens (19 March 2021)
The Foreign Ministry’s Secretary General for International Economic Relations and Οpenness, and President of Enterprise Greece, Ioannis Smyrlis, participated today in a videoconference of the Greek-Italian Chamber of Commerce of Athens.
In his intervention, Mr. Smyrlis highlighted the great potential, in the post-Covid era, for further developing the bilateral trade relations between Greece and Italy, indicatively in the sectors of food, beverages, cosmetics and dietary supplements.
He also inaugurated the broader cooperation of both the General Secretariat for Economic Relations and Openness of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and of Enterprise Greece with the very active Greek-Italian Chamber of Commerce.
During the videoconference, both sides committed to the immediate activation of their collaboration through institutions, such as the G2G Conference between the two countries, and to the development of channels of communication and promotion of bilateral relations, initially via digital channels and hosting of digital events.
