Screening of "THE MARBLES"

The Ambassador of Greece to Luxembourg, Christina Alexopoulou  had the pleasure of attending the screening of "The Marbles" documentary at the British & Irish Film Festival Luxembourg  David Wilkinson’s powerful documentary brings renewed attention to one of the most important cultural justice issues of our time: the reunification of the Parthenon Sculptures in Athens, their natural and historical home 

By shedding light on the history of their removal and the long-standing Greek call for their return, the film makes a compelling contribution to an international conversation grounded in heritage, memory, and respect for the integrity of a unique monument.

The Ambassador appreciated the opportunity to discuss with the director following the screening and to engage with a film that reflects so strongly the universal importance of protecting and restoring cultural heritage.
