The last performance was given on <strong>October 29th<\/strong>, at Columbia University in New York (Program in Hellenic Studies), under the auspices of the Consulate General of Greece in New York.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mfa.gr\/usa\/en\/consulate-general-in-new-york\/news\/my-mothers-sin-by-vizyenos.html\" target=\"_blank\">Following last year's<\/a> successful tour across universities in the U.S., (Harvard, Yale, Columbia, the University of Illinois at Chicago, and the city of Tampa, FL), starring Rena Kypriotou, director Danae Roussou returns to reveal Vizyenos\u2019 cathartic confession to an even wider audience.<\/p>\n<p>As she explains, \"it is imperative to engage with the classical literature form of the global dramaturgy. We ought to turn towards this direction, which will let us identify with our inner selves. It is the path humanity should take in order to find maturity\".<\/p>\n<p>My Mother\u2019s Sin, an autobiographical short story written by Vizyenos in 1883, speaks of forgiveness, guilt, and atonement in a confessional manner.
