Inauguration of the Wall of Names: a solemn tribute to the 1,225 Jewish victims of Nazism in LuxembourgInauguration of the Wall of Names: a solemn tribute to the 1,225 Jewish victims of Nazism in Luxembourg

The Ambassador of Greece to Luxembourg, Christina Alexopoulou, participated in the solemn ceremony held in Luxembourg for the inauguration of the “Wall of Names,” in tribute to the 1,225 Jewish victims of Nazism.
This memorial, erected alongside the existing Kaddish memorial, reminds us that each engraved name represents a life cut short, yet never forgotten. During the ceremony, families of victims, representatives of the State, the City of Luxembourg, the diplomatic corps, and remembrance associations joined together in a shared act of dignity, reflection, and remembrance.
This memorial is far more than a monument: it is a passage into collective memory. The ceremony was important moment of remembrance. It reaffirmed our collective responsibility to preserve memory, to stand firm against antisemitism in all its forms, and to ensure that the tragedies of the past serve as enduring lessons for the future.
A solemn moment of memory and responsibility, shared between nations.
