Succession to the Throne of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg

Between 3 and 5 October 2025, the official ceremonies marking the succession to the Throne took place in Luxembourg, with His Royal Highness Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume formally assuming the duties of Grand Duke from His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri.

The smooth transition of the Grand Duchy’s highest authority marks the beginning of a new era for the country, in a spirit of continuity, institutional stability and firm European orientation.
