ANNOUNCEMENT: Invitation to apply for a Scholarship for Under- and Postgraduate Studies at Greek Public Universities for the Academic Year 2026-2027.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic offers two (2) scholarships to citizens of the Republic of North Macedonia for attending undergraduate or postgraduate studies (in Greek language) in public universities of Greece starting in academic year 2026-2027.

Among the study programmes offered are: Greek Language & Literature; History & Archeology; Conservation of Antiquities & Art Works; Journalism & Media; Theology (incl. Islamic Studies); Law; Economics; Political Science; Medicine & Health Sciences; Engineering.

Knowledge of the Greek language is a "plus". Scholarship applicants for undergraduate studies without a working knowledge of the Greek language (B2) are required to attend an up to eight-month long language course, prior to their enrollment in the next academic year (2027-2028).

The scholarship provides a monthly allowance (€650), Greek language courses free of tuition fees (where necessary), and textbooks (except those of the School of Greek Language).

Interested candidates may submit their applications for up to three (3) departments of preference, attaching:

- Curriculum vitae (in Greek or English);

- Copy of high school graduation diploma*;

- Certification of the competent authority of North Macedonia that the graduation diploma allows admission to higher education institutions of North Macedonia*;

- Certificate of Greek Language (where available);

- Certificate of birth/citizenship*.

- Small size photo

* Documents must be officially translated in Greek and duly legalised

In addition to the above documentation, for postgraduate studies applicants must have been previously accepted to the Master program of their choice, in Greek and without tuition fees.

For the selection process, the academic performance of the applicant in high school/undergraduate studies will be taken into consideration.

Applications must be submitted in person at the Embassy of Greece in Skopje or the Consulate General of Greece in Bitola, by 27 July 2026.
