Power of Attorney

For the signing of a power of attorney, interested parties must submit their application and supporting documents at:
https://e-proxeneio.mfa.gr/ypex/en/consulate-request-categories/129

After the Embassy reviews the documents, applicants will schedule an appointment to sign the power of attorney by choosing one of the available dates from the calendar.

In order to authorize another person (power of attorney) to carry out an act or take action, one must have the required legal capacity; that is, be aware of their actions and be of legal age (over 18 years old).

Anyone wishing to draft a power of attorney must appear in person, presenting documents that prove beyond any doubt their identity (first name, surname, place and date of birth, and parents’ full names).

If the principal does not speak Greek, they must be accompanied at the time of signing by an interpreter, who may be either an official translator or a person of the principal’s complete trust.
