Political Affairs

The Embassy’s political section monitors and analyzes current developments in foreign and domestic policy of the Republic of Cyprus, aiming at promoting bilateral cooperation, across a broad range of issues.

Greek-Cypriot relations are excellent, reflect the closeness of the two societies and are developing constantly, in every sector. Contacts and exchange of visits of the political leaderships of the two countries are frequent, with the aim of optimum coordination of actions, concerning the Cyprus issue and other regional and EU issues. An extensive institutional framework contributes to the positive development of bilateral relations and enhanced cooperation across a wide range of sectors.
