Foreign Minister N. Kotzias meets with the Foreign Minister of Egypt, S. H. Shoukry (Foreign Ministry, 25 April 2017)
Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias had a bilateral meeting today with the Foreign Minister of Egypt, Sameh Hassan Shoukry, who visited Athens to participate in the Ancient Civilizations Forum, which was held yesterday at the Zappeion Megaron.
During the meeting, which took place at the Foreign Ministry, the excellent level of bilateral cooperation was reaffirmed, and Mr. Kotzias thanked his Egyptian counterpart for participating in the Ministerial Conference of the Ancient Civilizations Forum, highlighting that Egypt's contribution brings added value to this initiative.
They also discussed, in a warm atmosphere, the potential for further promotion of bilateral relations and the next steps within the framework of the trilateral cooperation scheme between Greece, Cyprus and Egypt, and they looked at current developments in issues of international and regional interest. Finally, Mr. Shoukry confirmed his participation in the upcoming Ministerial Meeting of the Rhodes Conference for Security and Stability, which is being held on 22 and 23 May
