PERMANENT RESIDENTS ABROAD
Main and permanent place of residence abroad for at least the past eleven (11) years
1. Application to the Military Service for the granting of postponement as a permanent resident abroad
2. Applicant's identity card or passport
3. Relevant military documents of the applicant (enlistment note, deferment, etc.)
4. Residence permit in North Macedonia
5. Parents’ certificate of employment from the Employment Agency (M1/M2) indicating that the parents have been employed from the date of the conscript's settlement until his adulthood.
6. Parents' tax information
7. Utility bills or telephone bills proving permanent and continuous residence in North Macedonia.
8. Monthly detailed bank account statements (by quarter per year). The bank statements should show daily transactions proving residence in North Macedonia
9. Health booklet of the parent who is NOT working, which indicates that he/she is insured as a protected member, e.g. spouse, from the date of the conscript's settlement in North Macedonia until his adulthood
10. For parents who are self-employed: Business commencement permit from the date of the applicant’s settlement as well as an attestation from the competent Authorities that the business continues to operate at least until the conscript reaches adulthood.
11. For parents who are divorced: Judicial decision from the competent Court of North Macedonia or a Greek Court certifying which parent has custody of the concerned person either during his settlement in North Macedonia or after and until his adulthood. From the date of assuming custody onwards, employment and insurance certificates are required only from the parent who has custody.
12. All attestations of school attendance from the 1st grade or from the first year of settlement, up to the last grade, by semester, in chronological order. If case that some records are not available, certificates from the schools are required, which must certify the years the individual has been and/or continues to be a student.
13. Supporting documents in which it must be certified that after leaving school, the applicant continues to reside in North Macedonia, such as:
(a) A certificate from a University, which must certify the date of first enrolment and that after the date of issue of the certificate of permanent residence abroad he is still a student,
(b) Certificate of education or vocational training,
(c) Certificate of employment (M1/M2) showing the period of employment or a certificate from the employer stating the start date of employment and that he has been employed until today (certified by a Notary Public)
(d) A certificate from a Greek University certifying the date of first enrolment and that he is still a student until the date of issue of the certificate of permanent residence abroad.
ATTENTION: In order for the period of study at the Greek University to be considered as a period of residence abroad, the recruit must already have the status of permanent resident abroad before the date of first registration (at least 11 years in North Macedonia).
(e) Birth certificate of the recruit
NOTE: In case the recruit has been residing for the last 11 years in more than one country other than the above, he must submit a certificate from the competent Greek Consular Authorities of each of the previous countries of residence of the family, certifying the years of residence of the family, the years of work of the parents, as well as the years of study of the recruit in the country or countries.
The supporting documents shall be taken into account in combination. If some supporting documents are not provided and the gaps in residency for the period in question are not covered, additional documents will be requested.
