Oslo World Music Festival 2015

Oslo World Music Festival will take place from the 27th of October to the 1st  of November.

In the past, this festival has hosted big stars like Gilberto Gil, Omara Portuondo, Gotan Project, Gipsy Kings, Estrella Morente, Buika and many more.

According to their website, the festival is not only a prominent world music festival in Norway, it’s also conspicuous in the other Nordic countries and the rest of Europe.

The festival was in 2014, for the fifth year in a row, awarded to be among the top 25 international festivals in the world by the British music magazine Songlines.

During these six days (27/10-01/11) you will find more than 300 artists from all parts of the world performing at over 15 different venues in Oslo. The entertainment will range from flamenco, soul and fado to electronica, hip hop and desert blues. The festival will also this year include other art forms that strengthen the festival profile, such as exhibitions, seminars, workshops, and interdisciplinary artistic expression. The festival will continue its commitment to the project dedicated for and with youth, and strengthen Children’s World Days and the concerts suitable for families.
