The Office for Economic and Commercial Affairs of the Embassy of Greece in Bucharest, in cooperation with the Evoia Chamber of Commerce and the Bucharest Chamber of Commerce organized a business Forum, followed by B2B meetings on 5th July 2018 at the premises of Bucharest Chamber of Commerce. 15 Greek businessmen, active in the fields of foods and beverages (fruits, pastry, aquaculture, traditional products) and construction materials, participated in the mission, with the aim to explοre opportunities for potential synergies with Romanian importers.
During the Forum, the Secretary of State Ms Voicila, from the Ministry of Commerce, the Chairman of the Bucharest Chamber of Commerce, Mr Dimitriu, the Chairwoman of the Evoia Chamber of Commerce, Ms Agiostratiti and the Head of the Economic Section of the Embassy, Mr. Markos delivered the main speeches. During their meeting, two two Presidents of the Chambers signed a Memorandum of Understanding and agreed to organize a Greek Week in Bucharest, for the presentation of products from the Region of Evoia.
The Forum was followed by B2B meetings between the Greek entrepreneurs and representatives of 14 Romanian companies, who also participated in the mission, after being invited by the Office for the Economic and Commercial Affairs. The quality and number of B2B meetings, which amounts to approximately 80, provided a fertile field for networking, and gave the Greek companies the opportunity to make useful contacts, which will enhance their extroversion towards the Romanian market.
