Courtesy visit of the Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic in Romania Mr. Grigοrios Vassiloconstandakis to His Beatitude the Patriarch of Romania Daniel (21/1/2015)

The Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to Romania Mr. Grigοrios Vassiloconstandakis payed an courtesy visit to His Beatitude the Patriarch of Romania Daniel.

The Ambassador mentioned the excellent and historical relations between the two Orthodox Churches and the two peoples. He also exchanged views with his high interlocutor on the strenghtening of the cooperation between the two Churches and stressed the important role of the Orthodox Church in Greece and Romania.

His Beatitude the Patriarch Daniel, referred to the traditional fraternal relations between the two Orthodox Churches and praised the work of the Church of Greece, under the guidance of the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece Ieronymos, in building networks of social solidarity and strengthening  hope for the relief of those affected by the economic crisis.

The two sides expressed their interest in further promoting pilgrimage programs of the Romanian Church, as well as the religious tourism towards Greece in general and on the occasion of religious festivities in religious destinations of our country.
