Invitation to a conference entitled “Georgios Papanikolaou, 50 years since the Death of the Great Greek Doctor and Researcher” - Tuesday, 27th November 2012, 18.00 hours, at the Conference Hall of the National Library of Romania

The Press and Communication Office of the Embassy of the Hellenic Republic invites you to attend the presentation entitled “Georgios Papanikolaou, 50 years since the Death of the Great Greek Doctor and Researcher”, which will take place on Tuesday, 27th November 2012, at 18.00 hours, at the Conference Hall of the National Library of Romania (22, Bdul Unirii, sector 3). The conference will be held in Romanian - a summary in Greek will be provided).

The presentation will be made by Professor Konstantinos Giatras, an obstetrician gynaecologist physician. Since 2009 Mr Giatras has been working as an associated professor of gynaecology in Timisoara and director general of “ATHENA” Hospital of the same town.

The above-mentioned event is organized in association with the National Library of Romania and the Department of Classic Literature & Neo-Hellenic Studies of the Bucharest University.

The presentation will be attended by representatives of the Embassy of the Hellenic Republic, Embassy of Cyprus, Greek-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Cypriot-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as university professors, researchers, editors, journalists, businessmen and other prominent personalities of the literary world.
