Οn 17 December 2019, the new Greek Ambassador to Romania, Ms. Sofia Grammata, presented her credentials to the President of Romania, Mr. Klaus Iohannis.

During the conversation, President Klaus Iohannis commented on the very good level of bilateral relations, based on traditional historical and cultural ties, as well as on common interests both at a regional as well as at the  European level. President Iohannis and Ambassador Grammata also expressed their satisfaction over the continuous increase of bilateral trade and underlined the need to continue the efforts in order to build on the existing momentum, with the aim of further developing economic cooperation and implementing infrastructure projects to further enhance the connectivity between Greece and Romania.
