Working visit of Sec. General for Int Economic Relations, Mr. P. Michalos -Participation in Bucharest Forum on Energy of Aspen Institute Romania «Unleashing the Potential of Eurasia Strategic Choices of the New Silk Road», Bucharest Oct 2-4/14
The Secretary General for International Economic Relations, Mr. Panagiotis Michalos, has visited Bucharest to participate as a keynote speaker to a panel on energy issues entitled “The New Energy Game in the Greater Black Sea Area”, held in the framework of the Forum organized by the Aspen Institute Romania: “Unleashing the Potential of Eurasia Strategic Choices of the New Silk Road”.
In his intervention, Mr. Mihalos has elaborated further on Greek positions on the energy sector. On the occasion, the Secretary General met with Senator and President of the Aspen Institute of Romania, Mr. Mircea Geoana.
Mr. Michalos also met with the Romanian Deputy Foreign Minister Mr. Ciamba. Important were also the meetings with the Romanian State Secretary for Economic Affairs for Energy, Mr. Mihai Albulescu and with the Special Adviser to the Romanian Prime Minister for energy security issues, Ambassador Mr. Mihnai Constantinescu.
Before his departure, the Secretary General attended a dinner with representatives of the Hellenic-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as with Greek businessmen with whom exchanged views on the exporting capacities of Greek companies and on supporting the Greek business interests in Romania.
