Power of Attorney

In order for one to give another person power of attorney to perform or proceed to an action, that person must have the requisite legal ability; that is, that person must be conscious of their actions and be of legal age (over 18 years of age).

A person wishing to draw up a power of attorney must appear in person along with documents proving beyond any doubt his or her identity (name, surname, place and date of birth, parents names and surnames).

The power of attorney draft must be sent to our Embassy's email address (grcon.ban@mfa.gr) in an editable format (word file) at least 7 days before the scheduled appointment. If the interested party does not speak Greek, an unofficial English translation should also be sent in an editable format (word file).

The original document remains in the Embassy's archives and a true copy is given to the person concerned.
