World Day of the Greek Language

The World Day of the Greek Language, was celebrated at a well-attended event, in the historic monument Couvent des Cordeliers in Fribourg (20.3.2026), organized by the Department of Classical Philology of the University of Fribourg and the School of Ancient Studies, in collaboration with the Embassy of Greece in Switzerland and the Association of Friends of the Andritsaina Library. The audience enjoyed the vivid reading of excerpts from the original text of the 3rd century A.D. book, Daphnis and Chloe. The event was part of the European Festival of Greek-Latin.
