The Embassy of Greece in the UK, the Consular Office in London, and the Consulate General in Manchester will remain closed on Wednesday, 25 March, in observance of the National holiday.
The Embassy of Greece in the United Kingdom, the Consular Office in London, and the Consulate General in Manchester are open daily, except on official Greek public holidays.
Declaration of birth
1. Declaration of birth of a child in wedlock
For the declaration of the child, the presence of one of the parents is required (preferably the Greek citizen), provided that the marriage has already been declared in the Municipality where the parents are registered. In case of a mixed marriage, the declaration is made by the Greek parent
Documents:
• Birth Declaration Application: You are kindly requested to complete the application prior to your attendance at the Consular Office.
• Full Birth Certificate issued by the British registry office duly legalised with an APOSTILLE stamp from the competent British Authorities. A translation of the British birth certificate is not required. It is noted that in case of non-validation of the certificate presented with the Hague Seal, the registration will not be completed.
• Valid passports or Greek ID cards of both parents. In case one of the two is a citizen of an EU Member State, the declaration can be made by presenting the identity card of the Member State. For third-country nationals, a valid passport is required.
