Attention: ETA authorisation will be needed for entry of Greek citizens in the UK from 2 April 2025 Online declaration of loss of Greek passport or ID card Greek citizens are now able to declare online the loss of their Greek ID card or passport, provided that the citizen holds a TaxisNet or web banking account. Alternatively, they candeclare the loss at their closest Greek Consular Authority. Attention: In accordance with the Community Code on Visas short term visitors to Greece (and to the Schengen area in general) must be in possession of a valid travel document. The Travel document’s validity shall extend at least three months after the intended date of departure from Greece (or the Schengen area in general), and it shall have been issued within the previous 10 years

Declaration of a Civil Partnership that was concluded in Greece or before a Greek Consular Authority

Civil Partnerships drawn up between Greek citizens or a Greek citizen and a foreigner under the Greek Law 4356/2015 are declared to the Consular Authority of their place of permanent residence.

NOTE: Civil Partnerships drawn up under foreign law are not recognized and are not registered.

Only the Greek citizen is required to attend in person (if both parties are Greek only one of them is required to attend) in order to submit the following documents:

• Application to declare a Civil Partnership: You are kindly requested to complete the application prior to your attendance at the consular office

Certified Copy of the Civil Partnership

• Valid passports or Greek ID card for each partner. EU citizens may complete the declaration using their ID card. Non EU citizens are required to be in possession of a valid passport.

Upon completion of the declaration, the citizen receives a copy of the registered deed, which has already been sent electronically to the relevant municipalities. With the registration of the deed in the family file of the Greek citizen, the declaration is completed.

Fees: Declaration 10€ or equivalent in Sterling.
Copy 10€ or equivalent in Sterling.
Payment in cash or by UK issued debit or credit card.

For documents that authentication of the original signature is required, it is priced at 10 Euros for Greek/EU citizens and 30 Euros for third country nationals equivalent in Sterling.
