Judicial Power
The established Judicial system of Greece consists of civil and criminal courts, in accordance to the Constitution. The Council of State (Symvoulio tis Epikrateias, Συμβούλιο της Επικρατείας) is the Supreme Administrative Court of Greece, Areios Pagos (Άρειος Πάγος) is the Supreme Civil and Criminal Court, and the Court of Audit (Elegktiko Synedrio) is authorized to audit the expenditures of the State, local government agencies, and other legal entities.
