The bilateral relations between Greece and Denmark have deep historical roots and are characterized by steady friendship, mutual understanding, and shared values within the European family. Since the establishment of the Embassy of Greece in Copenhagen, the ties between the two countries have been systematically strengthened—not only at the political and diplomatic level but also in the fields of economy, tourism, and cultural cooperation.
Greece and Denmark, as member states of the European Union and NATO, cooperate closely on issues of European integration, regional stability, green transition, and social cohesion. Greece and Denmark succeeded in being jointly elected as Non-Permanent Members of the United Nations Security Council for the period from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2026.
