Nationality

The Consular Office of the Embassy of Greece in Copenhagen is responsible for receiving, evaluating, and forwarding applications of foreign Greeks, permanent residents of Denmark, for the acquisition of Greek nationality.
The final decision is taken by the competent Department of the Ministry of Interior in Greece.

1.    Acquisition of Greek Nationality by declaration due to birth from a Greek parent

3.    Acquisition of Greek Nationality by Recognition

In this case, upon your visit to the Consular Authority, the following application in Greek must be completed:

All documents from a foreign country must be original and certified, with APOSTILLE (where provided) and official translation into Greek by a translator recognized by our Consular Authority in Denmark.

Naturalization

Foreign Greeks, who have Greek ancestry and reside abroad, acquire Greek nationality under the provisions of Article 10 of Law 3284/04, by submitting an application at the Consular Authority of their place of residence.
