(27.2.2014) Cultural event in the context of the Greek EU Presidency

The main cultural event organized by the Greek Embassy in Bucharest on the occasion of the Greek Presidency of the EU Council, was a recital performed by the soprano Mrs Anastasia Zannis, accompanied by the pianist Mr Papachristoudis.

Apart from international classics, Mrs Anastasia Zannis also performed works by Greek composers such as Hadjidakis, Theodorakis and Xarhakos with lyrics based on, inter alia, poems by Elytis and Seferis. The event was held at the Ateneul Roman, kindly offered by the Romanian Ministry of Culture, the latter being the co-organizer.

A large audience by Romanians and Greeks (about 600 people), also included a significant representation of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Romania.
