2025-05-30 Student enrolment at the Ljubljana Greek Language Department (TEG*) “Ioannis Kapodistrias”

The Embassy of Greece in Ljubljana announces that enrolment for free Greek language courses at the Ljubljana Greek Language Department (TEG) “Ioannis Kapodistrias” for the next school year, 2025-2026, has started.

*TEG are educational units that usually operate in the afternoons and on weekends and are mainly (but not only) aimed to support students of Greek origin who attend compulsory morning classes at the host country in the language of that country (e.g., Slovenian in Slovenia) or international schools. It should be noted that these are non-formal education units, which do not award official qualifications, but are usually operating by Greek community organisations, with the support of the Greek state, with the main aim of teaching the Greek language and elements of Greek culture to the younger generations of the diaspora. In these schools, Greek is taught more as a second/foreign language and less as a mother tongue. Courses are organized at various levels, depending on the level of knowledge and needs of the students.
