The Catholic Classical High School of Zavod sv. Stanislav and the Embassy of Greece in Slovenia invite you to an event entitled "Did You Know You Already Speak Greek?", which will take place on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., in the Arnež Hall of the Zavod sv. Stanislav school in Ljubljana. The event is organized on the occasion of UNESCO's proclamation of February 9 as World Greek Language Day and takes place with the kind support of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Ljubljana and the Department of Greek Language (TEG) of Ljubljana "Ioannis Kapodistrias".
The event will introduce participants to the Greek language as a "potential philosophy" and, with the use of Greek poetry and music, will highlight the Greek perspective on harmony and knowledge. This is a unique opportunity to learn about the uninterrupted continuity of the Greek language and its influence on the modern world, confirming that Greek is not as "unknown" as many people think. The detailed program of the event can be found here.
