The Visit of the Consul General to Shenzhen

On 9 May 2025, the Consul General of Greece in Guangzhou, Mrs. Gina Andreadi, attended the fourth edition of the Wine To Asia International Wine & Spirits Fair, which was hosted by Veronafiere, the Italian Trade Agency and the Consul General of Italy in Guangzhou and took place in the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Futian.

The Consul General participated in the opening ceremony and visited the Greek pavilion where a number of famous Greek wines were exhibited by the Greek import and distribution company Hellenic Agora (for more info: Wine to Asia).


After the wine exhibition, the Consul General visited the Shenzhen Museum of Contemporary Art and Urban Planning, an institution highlighting the city’s rapid urban development, digital transformation and cultural evolution.  Mrs. Sang Hui, Director of Administration and her team gave a tour of the museum and discussed with the Consul General possible fields of cooperation, including establishing contacts with Greek museums and stakeholders and organizing joint art and architecture exhibitions and events.


The Consul General also met with Mr. Klaus Zenkel, Vice President and Mrs. Francine Hadjisotiriou, General Manager of the European Chamber of Commerce, south China branch. The two parties held a friendly exchange on the recent trade and regulatory developments, the economic and trade landscape of the Greater Bay Area and the possible collaboration platforms and investment opportunities for European businesses in south China. They also reaffirmed the important role the European Chamber of Commerce plays in providing assistance to European and Greek businesses and professionals operating in south China and discussed the need to further strengthen its visibility and European entrepreneurship in south China, agreeing to continue their open dialogue and cooperation on these issues.
