The mission of Enterprise Greece, the official investment and trade promotion agency of the Greek state under the supervision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is to attract foreign investment to Greece and promote the export of Greek products and services worldwide.
Highlighting the important role of the action of Greek exporters in the Chinese market and the Greek participation in the China International Import Expo 2025 (8th CIIE), the Consul General, in an interview with CGTN, among others, stressed: ‘Undoubtedly, the role of the China International Import Expo (CIIE) has a profound impact and is well-recognized globally. It is a good chance for the stakeholders of the global economy to promote trade and to deal with common challenges seizing up existing opportunities. In this context, for eight consecutive years, Greece has an enhanced participation in the CIIE.
‘Enterprise Greece’ has as a mission to promote the export of Greek products abroad. Greece manages to showcase some of its comparative advantages, with emphasis on the so-called 'Agrifood' unique products. The two main consumer trends that have a direct impact on agri-food goods are the growing significance placed on products' clear origin and source as well as their healthful components. Therefore, strengths of the Greek primary sector are the quality of the Greek agriculture products and the ideal production conditions.’ Furthermore, the Consul General emphasized that there remains significant potential to further develop all forms of possible cooperation.
