Political Affairs

The political section observes and analyzes current developments in Korean foreign and domestic policy aiming at promoting the bilateral cooperation between the two countries. The Political Section also handles cultural, educational and academic (scholarships) affairs.

Consular Section

The Consular Section handles consular and legal affairs.

Among the tasks of the Consular Section are family law affairs, such as registration of births, certification of signatures and of documents’ copies (for example for applications for certificates of inheritance), Greek passport issuance, visa issuance as well as the assistance of Greek prisoners and the support of Greek nationals in emergency situations.

The Embassy’s Defense Attaché Office represents all the branches of the Hellenic Armed Forces. One of its major tasks is to reinforce the military cooperation and the bilateral relations in the fields of defense and security between the two countries.
