Having received the support of 159 of the 177 countries that voted at the ICAO’s 40th Triennial Assembly, Greece was elected, for the first time in the Organization’s 75 years, a member of the Council, Part III.
The election took place yesterday, Tuesday, 1 October, in Montreal, Canada.
Greece’s election in an Organization of obvious international and national importance, and with an impressive number of votes, is a major success. A success that, among other things, reflects and enhances the country’s standing in the international aviation community and beyond.
