The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic announces the opening of three (3) UN Youth Delegate positions in the Permanent Mission of Greece to the United States in New York,in view of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Length of term: one (1) year (from the beginning until the end of the Session of the General Assembly)
Required criteria: - age between 18 and 30 years old
- fluent in English/Another official UN language will be appreciated.
- good knowledge of youth issues and the UN system.
Selection process: The candidates should submit a CV and a motivation letter.
The selection process includes a personal interview with a panel of representatives of the Permanent Mission of Greece to the United Nations in New York (a virtual interview is possible).
Tasks of the position: Participation, as “youth expert”, in the events, conferences and panel discussions of the General Assembly and in other high-level meetings.
Status: The UN Youth Delegate is considered an official member of the national delegation, though on a voluntary basis. The position does not provide salary or insurance benefits. Please note that a valid insurance is a prerequisite for the selected candidates and that all costs shall be covered by them.
