2. Declaration of birth of a child of a Greek mother and a Greek or foreign father born out of wedlock or Greek civil partnership
The birth of a child born out of wedlock is registered by his Greek parent, on the condition that the father has proceeded to the recognition of the child before the British Authorities, in accordance with British Law (co-signing of the birth certificate).
Documents:
• Birth Declaration Application: Please fill in the application form before arriving at the Consular Office
• Original birth certificate from a British registry (Full Birth Certificate), which bears the signatures of both parents, authenticated with an Apostille stamp by the competent British Authorities. A translation of the British birth certificate is not required. It is noted that in case of non-validation of the certificate presented with the Hague seal, the registration will not be completed.
• Valid passports or Greek ID cards of both parents. In case one of the two is a citizen of an EU Member State, the declaration can be made by presenting the identity card of the Member State. For third-country nationals, a valid passport is required.

For documents that authentication of the original signature is required, it is priced at 10 Euros for Greek/EU citizens and 30 Euros for third country nationals equivalent in Sterling. |
