Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos made the
following statement regarding the agreement reached in Geneva by the
Foreign Minister of Russia and the U.S. Secretary of State:
“The
framework of the agreement reached in Geneva on the chemical weapons in
Syria is a very positive development that can contribute to the efforts
to achieve a comprehensive political agreement in Syria and, generally,
enable the UN Security Council to play its chartered role with the aim
of peace in all the regions of the world.”
