On Friday November 8th, 2019 the Greek Consulate in Boston hosted an event honoring DimitrisPikionis,the distinguished 20th Century Greek architect who landscaped the area around the Acropolis. The event included exhibition of archive material from the Benaki museum and documents from ERT museum, with speakers Stratos Efthymiou, Consul General, Alexandra Samaras, granddaughter of Dimitris Pikionis and architect herself and Thomas Doxiadis, distinguished architect. Along with the guest speakers the event had a large display of photographs of Pikionis’s work.
