The Foreign Ministry unequivocally condemns the act of vandalism perpetrated yesterday in Kavala, by unknown persons, of the monument to the Jews of Kavala who were lost to the Nazi concentration camps.
Such incidents of vandalism of monuments, racism and intolerance are rejected outright by Greek society, which has shown that it respects and honours history and democracy, acknowledging the memory of the victims of the Holocaust and the contribution of Greek Jews.
