The Treaty of Lausanne is clear and explicitly refers to a religious and not an ethnic minority in Thrace.
Greece fully respects the religious beliefs and the cultural characteristics of the Muslim Minority in Thrace. It also ensures full equality and equal treatment for all Greek citizens who are members of the minority.
