Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Harry Theoharis met with the Deputy Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Orkhan Zeynalov, in the context of strengthening bilateral relations between Greece and Azerbaijan. The two officials highlighted the strategic importance of cooperation in the energy sector and expressed a shared interest in further developing initiatives in the field of Renewable Energy Sources.
During the meeting, the potential for expanding economic cooperation in the areas of tourism and agricultural technology. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to implementing the actions agreed upon during the 5th Joint Interministerial Committee between Greece and Azerbaijan, which was held in Baku in June 2024.
